Teenage boy injured in horror multi-car crash on busy west Dublin motorway

A teenage boy has been injured in a horrific multi-car crash on a busy motorway in west Dublin this morning.

The boy was treated for his injuries at the scene of the crash on the N7 at 7am this morning.

Thankfully, gardai confirmed to Dublin Live that his injuries are not life-threatening.

The accident closed all but one lane on the Naas Road between Kingswood and Newland's Cross coming into Dublin.

The road has since reopened, but delays remain.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai and Emergency Services are attending the scene of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on the N7 Northbound that occurred at approximately 7.00am this morning, the 16 February 2022.

"A man in his late teens has suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at the scene."

Dublin Fire Brigade, who responded to the incident, tweeted at the time of the crash: "We're working with TII Traffic and Gardai at a multi vehicle collision, lanes have been closed to facilitate recovery.

"One lane remains open but there are delays on approach."
