A TEENAGE boy has died after an incident in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.
Police were alerted to the incident in the capital around 5pm on Wednesday February 8.
Ambulances and fire services were spotted in the area.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but a 14-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Wednesday February 8, police were called to a concern for person incident at Salisbury Crags.
“Police and ambulance attended however a 14-year-old male youth was pronounced dead.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson also confirmed they had attended the scene and that "a range of resources, including one of our special operations response teams and trauma team" were present.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.26pm on Wednesday February 9 to an incident at Salisbury Crag, Edinburgh.
"Operations Control mobilised a number of resources to the scene, where crews assisted emergency partners before leaving the scene."
