A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Teon Campbell-Pitter in Lewisham.
The teenager was also charged with possession of a bladed article.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 18.
The 15-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on April 21.
The Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation on April 13 after the young boxer was found with fatal stab wounds in Angus Street, SE14.
Police were called shortly after 4pm to reports of a brawl outside the Moonshot Centre in Angus Street, New Cross on Wednesday.
Officers found the 16-year-old with stab injuries.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Met said it is the fourth teenage homicide of the year in the capital.
Last year marked a record high of teenagers suffering with violent deaths in London.
There were 30 homicides recorded by the Met police as it surpassed the peak of 29 in 2008.
