A teenage boy has been arrested following reports that a girl was raped in a park near Greater Manchester. Officers were called out to Astley Park in Chorley, late on Friday night (February 3).
Lancashire Police says it was called out at 11.13pm following reports that a girl had been raped. A forensics tent has been put up in Astley Park, close to the bowling green.
A 17-year-old boy is currently in police custody for questioning, Lancs Live reports. He was arrested on suspicion of rape.

Officers are continuing with their investigations. Astley Park is still open to the public.
A police cordon extends to the area close to the bowling green. A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.13pm yesterday (February 3) to a report that a teenage girl had been raped in Astley Park, Chorley.
"Following enquiries, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in the park on suspicion of rape and is currently in custody. The girl and her family are being supported by specially trained police officers."
