Teen who married 71-year-old after meeting at funeral says she's fighting for life

A man who married a 71-year-gran when he was just 17 after meeting her at a funeral has revealed she has suffered a heart attack.

Gary Hardwick, now 21, called on TikTok followers to pray for wife Almeda's recovery.

The couple married in 2015, just two weeks after they met at the funeral of Almeda's son Robert.

In a social media video, Gary said his 75-year-old bride was "high risk".

He said: "The three blockages she has to her heart are are high risk.

"We are praying he [the doctor] inserts all three stents and she will not have to do heart surgery.

"Almeda had a heart attack. She had a stent.

"Her artery was clogged 100%, another was clogged at 90%. Two more were pretty clogged.

"It was high risk. Pray for her."

Since they married, the couple from Tennessee have shared videos of themselves on TikTok celebrating their love.

Gary has previously said his passion for Almeda is "deeper than the ocean".

And on their fourth wedding anniversary he paid an emotional tribute to his wife.

He said: "Four years ago on this very day, I gave my heart and my soul to the woman who steals it over and over again every day.

"Until the day I met you I never knew that it was possible to love someone so deeply.

"We've been through ups and downs together that we always overcame, looking back, it truly only made us stronger."

He has previously spoken of the couple's sex life, telling Fabulous Digital: “She really is my dream woman and the physical side of our relationship couldn’t be better.”
