Police have launched an investigation after a teenager was sexually assaulted in a popular area of Glasgow's west end.
The 18-year-old woman was attacked near Ashton Lane in Hillhead on Saturday April 16.
An area of the street, close to Byres Road, was sealed off by police as of Sunday morning.
Officers have confirmed they have launched a probe into the incident, which occurred at an unknown time on Saturday close to the popular pub and restaurant hotspot.
The investigation is at an early stage and cops say they are yet to establish the full details of what took place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating a report of the sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman which occurred on Saturday, 16 April, 2022, near to Ashton Lane, Glasgow."
They added: “Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.”
Elsewhere in Glasgow, services between the city centre and Barrhead and East Kilbride were suspended after a person was struck by a train on the line.
The incident occurred at around 10pm on Saturday.
Details of the person's condition were not immediately available.
Scotrail arranged for travellers to use bus services while trains were halted last night.
