A teenager remains in hospital in Glasgow after suffering a "serious facial injury" after he was assaulted with a weapon at the weekend.
The 15-year-old boy was attacked on Saturday, April 9 at around 9.25pm by another male youth in Middleton Road, Linwood.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident where he remains in a "stable condition", police have said.
Officers in Renfrewshire are now appealing for information and witnesses following the serious assault, saying it is "vital" that they trace the person responsible.
The suspect is described as being around 15 to 17-years-old and around 5ft 7 in height.
He has brown/light ginger hair and spoke with a local accent, and was wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts.
Detective Constable Robert Urquhart, from Paisley CID, said: "This incident saw a teenager sustain a serious facial injury and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.
"Extensive enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.
"I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to contact us."
