A male teen has been brought to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Co Cork this evening.
According to An Garda Siochana, the incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Tuesday.
It is understood that the boy was operating a scooter at the time of the crash on Assumption Road, in Blackpool.

He was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated, and no other injuries were reported following the collision.
A garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: “Gardaí attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision between a car and scooter that occurred on Assumption Road, Blackpool, shortly before 6:30 pm this evening.
“A male juvenile was taken to CUH to be treated for his injuries.”
The road remained open for motorists at this time.
