A teenager has died after a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in Fife.
Police say the incident took place at around 11.50pm on Saturday, March 5 with the 15-year-old boy pronounced dead at the scene on the A985 near Cairneyhill.
The boy's family have since been informed following the tragic incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 11.50pm on Saturday, 5 March, 2022 following a collision between two vehicles and a pedestrian on the A985 near Cairneyhill.
"Emergency services attended the scene and a 15-year-old male child was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
"The road was closed for around eight hours to allow a full collision investigation to take place.
"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."
