A teenager has been charged after allegedly stealing a human skull from a Scots graveyard.
The 17-year-old is alleged to have stolen the skull from a church on Union Street, Aberdeen, on Wednesday.
It is understood police recovered human remains, believed to be a skull, from a garden on Heathryfold Place after the alleged theft, Aberdeen Live reports.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Following theft from a church in Union Street, Aberdeen, a 17-year-old man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, May 3.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
