A teenage boy has been caught speeding just one month after he ploughed a car into a house in Fife, causing it to burst into flames.
The initial incident took place shortly before 12pm on Tuesday, August 23 when the 18-year-old crashed a motor into a property on Queensferry Road in the town of Rosyth.
Photos taken at the site, which were shared on social media, showed the aftermath of the accident, with a burnt-out red Vauxhall Corsa abandoned in the front garden of the home.
All the windows of the vehicle were completely smashed, the wheels were destroyed and the front bumper had flown up, presumably due to the impact of the collision.
An electrical box had also been ripped off the pavement, its wires exposed, and bushes had been mowed down in the spot where the car entered the garden after veering off the road. Video footage also captured the the inferno in full swing, as worried neighbours looked on in horror.
Emergency services sped to the crash site and the youngster was treated by paramedics for injuries which have not since been specified. He was reported by Fife Road Policing Officers for dangerous driving.
Now, the young man has been snared again, this time for going nearly twice over the speed limit on a street just three and a half miles away from where the original event took place.
Cops clocked the driver going at 58 mph on Halbeath Road in Dunfermline, which has a speed limit of 30 mph, in the early hours of Saturday morning. He has since been reported in relation with road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.55am on Saturday, 24 September, Road Policing officers stopped a Ford Fiesta on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline.
"An 18-year-old man was reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences."
