A teenage boy has gone missing from the Scottish Borders as police launch a desperate bid to find him.
Youssef Hendawi, from Galashiels, vanished from Albert Place in the town at around 10.30am on Friday, September 30.
The 16-year-old has failed to make contact with loved ones, and has not been seen or heard from since.
The youngster's disappearance has now prompted officers to ask members of the public for their help in tracing him, as enquiries continue in the area.
Anyone with any information on Youssef's whereabouts, or who may have spotted him, is being urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 3844 of Sunday, 2 October, 2022.
