A teenager will appear in court after being allegedly found in possession of a sword in an Inverclyde town.
The 16-year-old was arrested in the Oronsay Avenue area of Port Glasgow on Friday, 23 September
Officers from the violence reduction unit based in Greenock arrested the boy after he was seen allegedly carrying the sword.
A Police Scotland statement said: "On Friday the 23rd September 2022 in the Oronsay Avenue area of Port Glasgow, a 16 year old male was seen by police officers on patrol from the anti-violence reduction unit based at Greenock Police Office, in possession of a Sword.
"The male was arrested by police and taken into custody and will appear at court at a later date. A report will be submitted to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service."
