Gardai have arrested six people while carrying out a number of searches in Letterkenny on Tuesday, December 6.

The arrests come as part of Operation Thor, which was designed to tackle the anticipated increase in the number of burglaries and associated criminal activity that usually occurs in winter months by undertaking targeted enforcement and preventative activity.

During the operation, four properties were searched under warrants and six people - three men and three women, ages ranging from late teens to early 40s - were arrested.
