Tee Higgins recruited by Browns QB Deshaun Watson

In what likely won’t be the first time this offseason, a player from another team has suggested he would love to play with Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Higgins, headed for free agency this offseason, was the subject of a conversation between Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and his personal coach Quincy Avery.

Primed for the question by Avery, Watson admitted he’d love the Clemson connection in Cleveland.

“We wanna pass the ball. That’s what we gonna do. We gonna pass it a lot. And we gonna take good care of you,” Watson said. “The Cleveland fans are gonna love you to death and we got the Clemson ties. We didn’t get to play with each other but this is our opportunity. So like man come on over to The Land.”

This more than likely won’t be happening, of course, with the Bengals undoubtedly using a franchise tag on Higgins if they can’t reach a long-term deal. There’s no reality where the Bengals ship him to an AFC North rival if it comes to a trade, either, especially not after Duke Tobin’s “get your own” comments last year.

And on the Cleveland side of things, the Browns currently sit with negative cap space before being able to think about adding a top-of-market wideout.
