Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins popped up as a surprise addition to the Week 1 injury report on Thursday.
Friday morning, he wasn’t initially out at practice.
The Bengals listed Higgins as “limited” on Thursday due to a hamstring issue, though the franchise-tagged wideout himself said during locker room interviews that there weren’t any concerns.
As for Ja’Marr Chase, he was out at practice like normal after going “limited” the prior two days amid his contract standoff with the team.
The most recent reports explained why Chase had returned to practice at all. While he was out there Friday, how the team lists him on the final injury report and whether an extension comes together over the weekend could ultimately decide if he plays against the New England Patriots.
After practice, head coach Zac Taylor provided an update, via Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic:
Zac Taylor says Higgins had little hamstring “tweak” yesterday. As far as him playing Sunday: “We’ll see.”
As for Chase playing: “We’ll see.”

The Bengals later listed Higgins as “doubtful” to play:
