Former Nottingham Forest striker Teddy Sheringham has urged the Reds to put defending first and expect to score against Southampton.
Sheringham, who played for Forest in 1991-92, has told the Reds players what they must do to beat the Saints as they look to retain their status as a Premier League club. Forest are currently in the relegation zone, with goal difference separating them from safety.
Speaking ahead of a crucial game against rock-bottom Southampton, Sheringham has issued instructions to the Forest players on how they can go about winning the match.

"Forest need to focus; they need to concentrate," Sheringham told Lord Ping. "Every single player needs to be on point. The players need to be thinking about looking after each other on the pitch, covering each other – being hard to beat.
"It's going to be a tough game. Both teams are fighting for their lives. Forest can’t afford to make any silly mistakes; concentrate on your defending and, when you get a chance, be focused and confident that you're going to score. Expect to score. Have that belief in yourself.
"The only players that look like they are capable of scoring in the team are Johnson and Gibbs-White, so hopefully a chance will fall to them against Southampton."
