American sports comedy-drama television series Ted Lasso returns for a third season later this month.
The show about a fictional football club was renewed for a new season back in October 2020, just two months after it first premiered; such was the success of the programme. Its critical acclaim extended to being awarded numerous accolades for its first two seasons, including 11 Emmys; while Jason Sudeikis also won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Lasso.
This upcoming instalment features 12 new episodes taking the total to 34. In it, Sudeikis reprises his role as the manager of AFC Richmond as the club returns for another season in the Premier League.

When is it out?
Season three premieres on Wednesday, 15 March. Episodes are then scheduled to be released weekly until the finale on 31 May.
Who is in the cast?
Alongside Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Cristo Fernández, Nick Mohammed, Toheeb Jimoh and Jeremy Swift have all been announced as returning.
How can I watch?
The show is shown exclusively by Apple TV+ in the United Kingdom and the United States. New subscribers can get a free seven-day trial of the streaming service.
Will there be a fourth season?
While second and third seasons were announced soon after the initial episodes premiered, there has been no such renewal for a fourth at this stage. Co-creator and lead actor Sudeikis recently seemed to confirm to Deadline that further full-length seasons would not be forthcoming, saying: “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell.“
