Ted Lasso season 3 release date, cast and how to watch Apple TV show

Apple TV have today (Tuesday) confirmed popular series Ted Lasso will return for a third season next month.

Jason Sudeikis (Ted) will return as manager of AFC Richmond, as the side bids to navigate through the trials and tribulations of being a Premier League club once again. The show is returning to stream on March 15.

With it yet to be 100% confirmed whether this will be the last season, fans can at least look forward to another 12 episodes, as former coach Nathan Shelley (Nate) looks set to take charge of West Ham United. Serving as a Valentine's Day treat, Apple took to social media writing: “Ted Lasso Season 3 premieres 15 March.''

Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Cristo Fernández, Nick Mohammed, Toheeb Jimoh, Jeremy Swift and more have been announced as returning cast members, with fans of the Emmy award-winning show excited for its long-awaited return.

“The newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate (Mohammed), now hailed as the ‘wonder kid,’ has gone to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United,'' a press release read earlier today.

''In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt).

''Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.''

Ted Lasso season three premieres on 15 March on Apple TV Plus.
