Using AI to help Nasa land on the moon, Tech & Science Daily spoke to the UK scientists helping the space agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory locate where to land the Artemis 3 rocket.

Jan Peter Muller, from the Mullard space science lab at University College London has been working on mapping the moon.

They’re doing it by taking super high-res pictures of craters on the moon, and using AI to create 3D models of them.

In the meantime, Nasa hopes to try launching the Artemis 1 moon rocket again this week.

Monday’s launch had to be called off because there were issues with cooling the engines down before lift off, on top of two hydrogen leaks. But engineers reckon it’s related to an inaccurate sensor reading that they can deal with on launch day.
