Tech & Science Daily: Fossil of ‘first animal predator’ named after Sir David Attenborough

A 560-million-year-old fossil named after Sir David Attenborough is the ‘first animal predator’.

Tech & Science Daily spoke to Dr Phil Wilby, from the British Geological Survey, who is one of the lead scientists behind the discovery, made in Charnwood Forest near Leicester.

Dr Wilby describes the creature as having tentacles and being around 20cm in length.

It's the earliest known creature to have a skeleton and the earliest evidence of animals that separated as colonies into multiple individuals.

Amazon Prime monthly subscriptions are to increase by a pound to £8.99 and annual memberships will go from £79 to £95.

They say the price rise was its first in the UK since 2014 and was due to "increased inflation and operating costs".
