Triumphant: the Atlas robot by Boston Dynamics
(Picture: Boston Dynamics)Boston Dynamics’ humanoid robot, Atlas, has been showing off its new clambering skills doing high-skilled parkour.
Footage released from the tech firm shows Atlas leaping over obstacles, doing back-flips and even falling flat on its face during practice runs.
The robot stands about a metre and a half tall, weighs 86kg, uses hydraulics and battery-powered electric motors for movement, and has three on-board computers.
Aspirin is being trialled as part of a potential new treatment for an aggressive form of breast cancer.
