Tearful Kerry Katona says she’s 'not stopped crying' after Phillip Schofield comments

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has shared an emotional update after sharing her views on the ITV and Phillip Schofield scandal.

The reality TV star waded in on the This Morning drama after recalling her interview in 2008 where she appeared to slur, which she has always maintained was due to medication for her bipolar disorder.

After discussing her treatment from ITV and This Morning host Phillip Schofield for an interview with GB News, Kerry slammed the programme as being "full of liars" and "no aftercare" for guests or interviewees.

After her emotionally charged interview, Kerry revealed to fans she's been left feeling tearful as she described having the chance to comment as "a purge" as she hopes things change at ITV.

Sharing a video from her bed to her Instagram with her 816,000 followers, Kerry captioned the video: "Not stopped crying!! This has been a very long time coming for me! I feel like I’ve purged so many tears of emotion! Let’s hope things change."

In the clip she said: "I'm sure you all saw the interview I just done - that was a long time coming for me.

"I think what I want from all of this is aftercare to change. You'd think after all of those years that I was on there, it would have done by now.

"So tired and emotional, it's just really because when that happened to me, people didn't understand me.

"People didn't ask what medication I was on or what bipolar is.

"It was not fair, I never once went on there and put Phillip down, it was more than that for me.

"I've been crying as you can see as it was a massive purge of tears. I've been through a lot and that was difficult.

"Let's hope things change, we want better aftercare basically. We don't want no d*******s, bullies, condescending p***ks, liars or phoneys."

In her interview with GB News this week, Kerry also discussed the news of Phil's affair with a younger coworker as she commented: "I didn't know [about the affair].

"There were always rumours. I know his wife, I've met his two girls. And for me, my heart breaks for his wife. My heart and my sympathy goes out to his wife.

"I met the young runner several times, lovely lad."

Kerry's comments come after presenter Phillip Schofield stepped down from This Morning last month before news of his affair with a younger coworker broke. Since the affair news emerged, ITV and his former talent agency YMU Group have both distanced themselves from the presenter as well as co-stars and colleagues including Holly Willoughby and Dr Ranj Singh.
