Team Ninja’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty gets a public demo you can play right now

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is one of the most exciting game announcements we’ve had this year so far. Team Ninja’s action game pedigree is turning to the Warring States period of ancient China, and we can get a chance to play the game ourselves starting today.

A demo is being released for the game on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles – unfortunately PC last-gen console players are being left out of this demo.

The demo is time-limited, and will only be playable from September 16 to the 26. That’s a solid ten days you can use to play Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, though how much of the game we’ll be able to see in that time remains a mystery for now.

Team Ninja achieved success with Nioh and Nioh 2, which were both difficult action games in the vein of Dark Souls, though the studio prefers the term “masocore.” In a post-Elden Ring world, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set to be the next big exciting action RPG for the most masochistic gamers.

If that’s not enough for you, then ten players will win a Wo Long t-shirt – the same one has been given out at Tokyo Games Show to those who cleared the demo. Just post a gameplay clip from the Wo Long demo on Twitter with the “#WoLongDemoEU” hashtag while following the @WoLongOfficial account.

Playing the demo will also grant you a Crouching Dragon Helmet to use in the main game once it releases. Can’t say no to free bonuses.

The Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo cannot be played past the September 26 end date, even if you have it downloaded, so make sure to install and play the game as much as you can before then to maximize your chances of earning a free t-shirt. Oh, and playing the game itself is fun too.
