Teachers pay tribute to 'little angel' schoolboy who died in crash

Teachers, parents and friends have paid tribute to an "angel" schoolboy who died in a crash.

Charlie Lowe died in hospital after being hit by a car on Abingdon Road, Walton at around 4.30pm on Thursday, April 20. More than £4,000 has since been raised for Charlie's family on a GoFundMe page.

Hundreds of tributes have also flooded in, with friends and teachers describing the 10-year-old as an "incredibly talented young boy." One contributor on the page, Joe Ryan said: "RIP Charlie will miss playing footy with you in school."

Another added: "Forever in our hearts, Charlie. An exceptional young man with so much potential. Deepest sympathy and love to Lisa and Bobby." While a third Tracy Dentith commented: "Oh Charlie I will miss your gorgeous smile and your humour. You are an incredibly talented young boy who was also an amazing runner too.

"Good night god bless, I am truly heartbroken that you have been taken far too soon. RIP my little angel love Mrs Dentith. Sending lots of love to his family to get through this devastating time."

And Yvonne Neary said: "Absolutely heart-breaking, such a beautiful boy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie’s family, his friends and teachers of Flo Melly. You will be so so missed in school and our Eva is going to miss her best friend so much. Sleep peacefully, forever young Charlie Lowe."

Emma Pollard added: "RIP Beautiful Charlie your smile lit up the room, sending all the love in the world to your lovely Mum and Bobby xxxx Miss Pollard, John and Ella xxxxx."

Fundraiser organiser Hannah Mann said: "It's with a heavy heart I have to write this. I'm asking for help for Charlie Lowe's family who sadly lost their gorgeous ten year old boy to a car accident in Walton.

"It's absolutely devastated the whole of Liverpool, all his family friends and his school teachers. Such a gorgeous gentle baby taken too soon.

"Heaven gained an amazing angel. So if people can please donate to help this family for what ever they may need and give Charlie the most amazing send off he deserves."
