A number of bus services in Bristol will be rerouted or cancelled on Thursday (March 2) as a result of teacher strikes. The protest march will take place through the Centre and Broadmead areas of the city between 11am and 2pm.
First Bus has today confirmed full details on the diversions and updated schedule. The bus operator says that all services will be withdrawn from the city centre and Broadmead area between 11am and 2pm.
The closures may be subject to change throughout the day, with First Bus supervisors set to be stationed at key areas to advise customers. Passengers have been urged to allow extra time for their journeys.

Here is a list of all of the First Bus services that are set to be disrupted on Thursday (March 2).
Services 1, 2 and 2a
These services heading towards Cribbs Causeway and Southmead will operate as normal as far as Temple Meads. From here, they will divert via Temple Way, Bond Street, Marlborough Street and Park Row to resume normal routes at the top of Park Street.
On the other hand, services 1, 2 and 2a heading towards Broomhill and Stockwood will operate the reverse of the above. First Bus say that all stops on the diversion route will be observed.
Services 3 and 4
These services heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as the top of Park Street. Then they will divert via Park Row and terminate outside of the BRI bus stop H1.
Services 3 and 4 will commence from the opposite side of the BRI bus stop H2 then Park Row to resume normal route at the top of Park Street. Customers are told to use the BRI stops H2 to alight and H1 to board.
Services 6, 7, 36, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 48a & 49
These services heading towards Centre will terminate at Bond Street. Services 6, 7, 36, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 48a and 49 heading from Centre will commence their journey from bus stop S1 on Bond Street on the opposite side of the road from McDonalds.
Service 23
This service heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as Redcliff Hill. It will then divert via Redcliffe Way, Temple Meads, Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street and terminate at bus stop S6 or S8 (outside of old Debenhams building).
Service 23 heading towards Ashton Gate will operate from Bond Street around St James Barton Roundabout. It will then head back along Bond Street and via Temple Way and Redcliffe Way to resume normal route at Redcliff Hill.
Service 24
This service heading towards Southmead Hospital will operate normal route as far as Redcliff Hill. It will then divert via Redcliffe Way Temple Meads, Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street then around St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street Bond Street South and Old Market to resume normal route.
Service 24 heading towards Ashton will operate normal route as far as Bond Street. From here, it will turn around at the roundabout, Bond Street, Bond Street South, Temple Way and Redcliife Way to resume normal route at Redcliff Hill.
Passengers are advised to wait on Bond Street bus stops S6 and S6 (by old Debenhams) for travel towards Ashton. For travel towards Southmead Hospital, they should wait at Bond Street S1.
Services 8 and 72
These services heading towards Clifton and UWE will operate normal route as far as Bond Street. They will then divert via Marlborough Street and Park Row to resume normal route at the top of Park Street.
Service 8 and 72 heading towards Temple Meads from the top of Park Street will divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street, Bond Street, Bond Street South and Temple Way. Passengers heading towards Temple Meads are advised to wait on Bond Street bus stop S1 on the opposite side of the road from McDonalds.
Services 70 and 73
These services heading towards UWE and Bradley Stoke from Temple Meads will divert via Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street to resume normal routes at Stoke Croft. Services 70 and 73 heading towards Temple Meads will operate the revers of the above.
Passengers are advised to wait on the Stokes Croft bus stops depending on your direction of travel.
Service 74
This service heading towards Centre will terminate at Stokes Croft bus stop N2. Meanwhile, the service 74 heading towards UWE will commence from Stokes Croft bus stop N1.
Services 75, 76 and m1
These services heading towards Cribbs Causeway will operate normal route as far as Redcliff Hill. They will then divert via Redcliffe Way, Temple Meads, Bond Street South and Bond Street to resume normal routes at Stokes Croft (and m1 from Bond Street after going around St James Barton Roundabout).
Services 75, 76 and m1 heading towards Hengrove will operate normal route as far as Stokes Croft (75, 76)/Cabot Circus stop (m1) and then divert the reverse of the above. Passengers are advised to board or alight at Bond Street bus stop S1 (75/76), or the normal Cabot Circus stop (m1).
Finally, service m2 will follow normal route from Long Ashton Park and Ride to the usual Cabot Circus stop. It will then return to Long Ashton P&R back the way it came via Bond Street, Temple Way, Temple Meads to resume normal route at Redcliff Hill.
Service 90
This service heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as Redcliff Hill. It will then divert via Redcliffe Way, Temple Meads, Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street and terminate at bus stop S6 or S8 (outside of old Debenhams building).
Service 90 heading towards Hengrove will operate the reverse of the above. Passengers are advised to board at bus stop S1 on Bond Street.
Services 91 and 92
These services heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as Temple Meads. They will then divert via Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street and terminate at bus stop S6 or S8 (outside of old Debenhams building).
Meanwhile, services 91 and 92 heading towards Hengrove will operate the reverse of the above. Passengers are advised to board at bus stop S1 on Bond Street.
Service A1
This service will head towards Bus Station from Temple Meads. It will then divert via Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street to Bus Station.
Service A1 heading towards Bristol Airport will operate the reverse of the above. Passengers are advised to board or alight at the Bus Station.
Services U2, Port P&R and all North Somerset services (X1-X9)
These services heading towards Bristol City Centre will operate normal route as far as the end of Hotwell road. They will then divert via Jacobs Wells Road, Triangle Park Row to Bus Station. Service U2 will terminate and commence from the N3 bus stop at the end of Marlborough Street.
Services U2, PORT P&R and all North Somerset services (X1-X9) heading from Bus Station/stop N3 (U2) will operate the reverse of the above. Passengers are advised to board or alight at the Bus Station or Marlborough Street N3 for U2 service.
Services m3 and m4
These services will terminate and commence their journey from their usual bus stop on Bond Street (Cabot Circus). They not serve Broadmead or The Centre stops.
Service X39
This service towards Bristol will divert from Temple Meads Station via Temple Way, Bond Street South and Bond Street to the Bus Station.
Services X39, 376 and 379 from Bristol Bus Station to Bath or Wells will divert via Bond Street, Bond Street South and Temple Way. Passengers are advised to board or alight at the Bus Station or Temple Meads.
