Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh has said that the Jana Sena Party- TDP alliance is committed to Andhra Pradesh’s welfare through development, and not by “accumulating debt”.
Mr. Lokesh and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan chaired the first meeting of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Rajamahendravaram on October 23. The meeting emphasised an action plan for the Assembly elections in 2024.
In a joint press conference along with Mr. Pawan Kalyan after the JAC meeting, Mr. Lokesh said that the TDP and JSP activists would visit every household in the State from October 29.
The activists would also submit a report on the condition of farmers for finalising the election manifesto.
“Three resolutions related to condemning the arrest of TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, saving the State from the draconian rule of the YSRCP and all-round development of the State were passed in the first JAC meeting,” said Mr. Lokesh.
Mr. Lokesh also lamented that Dalits were being attacked in the YSRCP rule. He alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had ignored the irrigation projects.
TDP Polit Bureau member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu was also present in the meeting.
