Everything is not OK with Oklahoma in Brent Venables’ first season.
The Sooners have lost two in a row in conference play. They were hammered by TCU, 55-24, on Saturday.
That means Venables, who is regarded as a defensive guru, has seen OU allowed 96 points in the last two weeks, losses to the Horned Frogs and Kansas State.
TCU pounded the Sooners for 668 yards of total offense. The Horned Frogs averaged better than 9 yards apiece on passing and running attempts, respectively.
Oklahoma starts 0-2 in Big 12 play for 1st time in a non-COVID season since 1998 when John Blake’s Sooners finished 5-6, OU’s last losing season

Oh, and there is an old family connection to the Sooners and Horned Frogs.
The OC for TCU is Garrett Riley, the younger brother of former Sooners coach Lincoln Riley.
This is the offensive coordinator for the TCU team that is currently annihilating Oklahoma. His name? Garrett Riley. Yup. He's Lincoln Riley's brother. 🤣 pic.twitter.com/vGIM5sjgc3
