Taylor Swift still supports Irish GAA club Lotto after buying ticket in 2018

A GAA club is hoping to thank Taylor Swift in person for her continued support after revealing she still buys tickets to their club lotto after entering in 2019.

Limerick club Glin GAA are hoping to gift the global pop star a jersey when she comes to Dublin next summer as part of her Eras Tour.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Anti-Hero singer would perform two nights at the Aviva Stadium on June 28 and 29 2024 - with tickets already expected to sell out immediately.

Taylor's connection to the club came when visited Limerick back in 2018 and stayed at the plush Glin Castle.

The trip went viral when it was revealed that she had purchased a local lotto ticket from a member of the nearby GAA club.

According to the Irish Mirror, Taylor still regularly plays the club lotto online - however there have been no big wins for the singer so far.

Glin GAA member Hugh Dunne is in charge of the club lotto said that Swift still plays 'the odd time'.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, he said: "She'd still play the odd time now.

"There was an online link going around at the time to buy tickets and she still buys the odd ticket from time to time but she hasn't won yet.

"We didn't really know who she was at the time, she was more popular with the younger crew but we thought she must be somebody famous because she had a few security but I don't think she'd need it around here."

He added: "We'd love to give her a jersey or something like that to say thanks. There are plenty of Taylor Swift fans down here who will be hoping to go see her next year."
