Rumours that Taylor Swift secretly wed her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn before their shock split in early 2023 have been denied by the star’s longtime publicist.
Tree Paine, who has worked with Swift, 33, for a number of years, took to Twitter on Thursday to strongly deny rumours spread by gossip site DeuxMoi.
The rumours claimed the singer married British actor Alwyn in “either 2020 or 2021”. The site also claimed the “ceremony” was never made legal.
The alleged marriage would have taken place before the couple split in early 2023. Swift has since been linked to British rocker Matty Healy from band The 1975 and is now dating NFL star Travis Kelce.
Kelce was reportedly the reason Swift only stopped in London for 12 hours to attend Beyonce's movie premiere on Thursday, with reports suggesting the singer wanted to get back to the States to be with the sportsman.
On Twitter on Thursday, Paine shared a post of DeuxMoi about the final years of Swift’s relationship with Alwyn.

The post, from an anonymous source, called out fans of Swift for some of the speculation over the pair's relationship. It also called out DeuxMoi for the site’s long-standing insistence that the couple secretly married.
The person behind DeuxMoi then wrote in response: “She DID have a ceremony in 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a 'marriage' by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal.
“I have no reason to lie, I could give a sh*t what she does!!!!! I'm sorry she didn't tell you guys about it in a song but just because she doesn't sing about something doesn't mean it didn't happen!!!”
Paine then reposted the post on Twitter and wrote: “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi.
“This is an insane thing to post. It's time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these,” she concluded.
DeuxMoi later apologised to Paine for the post, but added: “Well I make zero dollars from lying.. can publicists say the same.
"Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to 'pain & trauma' [...] seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”
On Thursday night, Swift appeared at the UK premiere of the Renaissance film following Beyonce’s appearance at The Eras Tour film premiere in October.
Swift later devoted an Instagram post to Beyonce, praising the music star for her influence and “generosity of spirit”.
Also on Thursday, Beyonce released a new single to commemorate the “opening weekend” of the Renaissance tour film.
The new track, titled My House, was released following the UK premiere.
Beyonce raps throughout the track which she co-wrote and co-produced with The Dream, real name Terius Gesteelde-Diamant.
The official Instagram account for Apple Music said: “A gift from the queen for the opening weekend of the Renaissance film.
“Listen now to @beyonce’s new track ‘MY HOUSE’.”
The lyrics include: “I will always love you, but I’ll never expect you to love me when you don’t love yourself. Let’s heal the world, one beautiful action at a time, this is real love.”The release of her track comes as Beyoncé is taking over Flannels in London once again to coincide with the concert documentary release.
It's the second time this year, she has done so having turned it into The Renaissance Flagship back in May during her five-day residency in the capital.
This time around, the luxury retailer will be exclusively stocking the 16-piece Renaissance merch collection in their London, Liverpool and Sheffield stores from December 1.
