A piano seemingly playing by itself at one of Taylor Swift's recent concerts has sparked theories among her fans, including that she was actually teasing an upcoming song.
Taylor, 33, performed at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, over the weekend as part of her ongoing the Eras Tour which began in the US earlier this year.
Torrential rain during her concert on Saturday (May 20) is said to have damaged her piano, apparently leading to the instrument playing by itself in Sunday's show (May 21).
The singer-songwriter described it as "insane" and footage from the moment it happened has since been shared on social media, prompting theories about the situation.
One clip - which has amassed more than 16 million views on one Twitter account - shows Taylor at the piano as notes begin to play, whilst her hands aren't at the keys.
She tells the audience: "I didn't play that". Taylor looks surprised as notes seemingly play by themselves, adding: "Oh my ... do you hear that? Is that happening for you too?"
A lengthier clip on the platform - which has amassed almost 90,000 views - shows Taylor further discussing the situation, telling fans: "So, it rained a lot last night - like a monsoon."
After the piano seemingly plays itself, she adds: "[It's] clearly broken my keyboard 'cause it was like literally underwater. I didn't know how any of the instruments were working last night. So, this is broken. I'm just gonna get the guitar".
The moment has sparked theories, including that she was teasing an upcoming song. One fan said: "She is teasing [a song from her next album] I just know it. She is a mastermind."
"I'm not stupid she's teasing something," wrote another person on the platform. Whilst a third reacted to the footage: "This was planned guys. Remember nothing is accidental".
Another person commented: "[I swear to god] this is an easter egg for something". Whilst another simply responded by teasing over her possible eleventh album: "TS11 is coming".
Others suggested she may now make a song out of the notes, with one tweeting: "Now watch her release a song with these exact piano chords". Another said it would be "epic".
There was speculation that it may have been hinting at the release of Haunted (Taylor's Version), with some fans referencing the song and teasing that the piano was "haunted".
Some fans said they had actually thought she was going to play Haunted in the moment, with one writing: We all thought it was a bit for her to play haunted but nahhh".
Whilst some people instead tweeted that it suggests Taylor doesn't always play the piano herself. One said: "She got caught fake playing and had to cover it up real quick."
One fan asked: "So she's using pre-recorded pianos?" Another tweeted similarly about the possibility of it being "pre-recorded," whilst another said: "She's doing playback".
