The holiday has become synonymous with the pop icon due to her celebrity-filled lavish parties every year from 2013 to 2016. It was a quick run, but it is still discussed years later.
In late 2016, Taylor took a hiatus from social media for a year until she released her album "Reputation." Then after that followed her "Reputation stadium tour," fights over the rights to her music, a global pandemic, re-released albums, and three new albums.
Taylor has been quite busy and it's understandable that a party hasn't occurred for a few years.
For those hoping for one this year, Taylor's touring the United States on "The Era Tour," with her last show before the holiday on 1 July in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tour picks back up in Kansas City on 7 July, so there is time for a possible party this year.

2013
This was the first year that Taylor opened her home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island to the Fourth of July festivities, and that's because it's the year she brought her beach house.
This was the most lowkey of all the parties, with her parents and dancers from her "Red" Tour in attendance. Events included face-painting, cornhole, sparklers, and fireworks making it a classic Fourth of July party.
2014
Taylor is known for having a close-knit friend group made up of various celebrities.
Core members like Lena Dunham and Emma Stone were in attendance this year, with other celebrities being Andrew Garfield, Jaime King, Jessica Szohr, Jessica Stam, and Ingrid Michaelson to name a few.

This party is famous for being the day Ed Sheeran reconnected with Cherry Seaborn, his now wife and mother to his two children. While the two reconnected while Ed played shows in New York earlier that year, Ed has referred to this day as their anniversary and the day sparks officially flew.
2016
The most famous of them all: the HiddleSwift party. Taylor was dating Tom Hiddleston at the time, who attended the party wearing an "I Heart T.S." tank top. Tom admitted a year later that he scraped his back while playing a game and needed a shirt to protect it from the sun - and that shirt was the only option.
