Taylor Swift's makeup artist shows how he created her incredible transformation for The Man video

Taylor Swift completely transformed for the music video that accompanies her latest single The Man.

The Lover singer, 30, put on prosthetics to look like a man for the song, which calls out sexist double standards in society and the music industry.

Now Taylor's makeup artist has revealed how he created her new look.

Bill Corso had prosthetics made to give Taylor a completely difference face with bigger cheeks and nose and a different mouth.

Taking to Instagram , Bill shared step by step pictures to show how Taylor went from a stunning blonde haired songstress to a bearded brunette man for the video.

In the first picture Taylor was at her glamorous best on the red carpet with her trademark red lipstick and beachy waves in her hair.

The second showed her completely makeup free as her face was stripped back ahead of the transformation.

Next she was given a bald cap and put on her prosthetics, with not even a hint of the actual Taylor visible.

The fourth picture showed her after she'd put on the short brown wig and matching eyebrows.

Fifth and six were the finished product, with Taylor donning her new beard and a suit to take on the role.

In The Man Taylor sings about how she has been judged more harshly for her behaviour because she's a female celebrity.

She says if she was a man she could brag about her success, sleep around with models, flash her cash and date around before she settles down.

"If I was a man then I'd be the man," she says.

Taylor also claims she has been held back in her career because she is a woman, singing: "I'm so sick of running as fast as I can/Wondering if I'd get there quicker if I was a man."

The video also has clear digs at her ex-label boss Scooter Braun.

After The Man gets off the subway at '13th Street Station', a nod to her favourite number, he decides to relieve himself up against a wall in the station.

Graffitied all around the word 'Karma' on the wall are the names of some of Taylor's previous albums, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation.

Hanging amongst them is a large poster which reads: "Missing. If found return to Taylor Swift ."

There is also a sign that reads "no scooters".

Scooter and Scott Borchetta acquired her former label Big Machine Records in June last year, taking control of her entire back catalogue.
