Matty Healy's controversial comments about his porn habits could be the reason for his split from Taylor Swift.
The pair are thought to have broken up after just one month of dating, despite their romance seeming to heat up amid rumours Matty was set to move in with the superstar.
The 1975 frontman and American pop princess were said to be "madly in love" months after her split from British actor Joe Alwyn.
But news of their romance didn't go down well with some of Taylor's die-hard fans as Matty's past comments about porn resurfaced.
In February, Matty appeared on The Adam Friedland Show podcast and talked about the time he masturbated to porn of "brutalised" women.
Adam discussed a moment when he and a female friend walked in on the singer masturbating to "hardcore pornography" playing on his large-screen TV after a party at his house.
They said he was watching Ghetto Gaggers - a porn site known for clips of mostly Black women being humiliated and brutalised.
"It wasn't just the— it was the combination of the fact that it was, you're not exaggerating, it was 30 seconds. Like, you guys were still waiting outside, she came back in, I was already flustered," Matty said.
"I was, like, dressed as 'guy who is jacking off,' so I had, like, untucked shirt.
"Like you said, I think it literally was, like, Ghetto Gaggers was on the TV. It's just somebody just getting, like, brutalised."
After the clip recirculated online, fans shared their disgust and were horrified that Taylor was involved with him.
"This whole thing is making me lose respect for Taylor," a Reddit user commented.
Another posted: "Seriously, it feels like she's TRYING to get cancelled again."
"How is she okay with this?" one concerned user asked.
"You are who you associate with," another added.
And now fans are convinced that the concerns could have given Taylor second thoughts about Matty.
Mirror have contacted Matty and Taylor's representatives for comment.
Taylor and Matty go way back and first sparked relationship rumours back in November 2014 when she attended the 1975 frontman's concert in LA.
Matty later revealed that they had "swapped phone numbers" at the show during a radio interview with Australia’s Shazam Top 20.
“I mean, bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She’s a sensation,” he said at the time. “I wouldn’t say no!”
