The final show of the Eras Tour took place in Vancouver, Canada, marking the end of an incredible journey that saw Swift perform across five continents before an audience of 10 million fans. Last year, the tour became the first ever to surpass the billion-dollar mark, solidifying Swift's status as a powerhouse in the music industry.
In North America alone, the tour raked in an estimated $1.04 billion, while on a global scale, the total earnings reached $2.2 billion. The Editor-in-Chief of Pollstar & VenuesNow, Andy Gensler, described the tour's success as 'extraordinary and unprecedented,' highlighting the impact it has had on music lovers worldwide.
Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' tour currently holds the title of the second biggest tour, with estimated earnings of $1.14 billion since March 2022. Despite Coldplay selling more than 10.3 million tickets, Taylor Swift's tour managed to sell just over 10 million tickets, making her the solo performer with the highest ticket sales.
Pollstar's data collection process involves analyzing box office reports, venue capacity estimates, historical ticket sales data, and other research conducted between November 2022 and December 2024.
