Taylor Swift's boyfriend dons Dublin accent in steamy trailer for Sally Rooney TV adaptation

The trailer for Sally Rooney's latest TV adaptation Conversations With Friends sees Taylor Swift's boyfriend Joe Alwyn donning a Dublin accent.

A steamy teaser for the show has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what's in store.

The Hulu series, which will have 12 episodes, is set to premiere in May.

The drama follows Dublin college students Frances and Bobbi as they develop a strange connection with married couple Melissa and Nick.

In the story, 21-year-old Frances and ex-girlfriend Bobbi remain close friends and perform spoken word poetry together.

The minute-long clip shows a secret affair between Joe's character Nick and Alison Oliver's Francis.

Much of the story takes place in Trinity College and takes audiences on a journey of lust, secrecy and desire.

In the short teaser, fans get to hear Joe's Dublin accent, which seems to be pretty decent.

The actor is originally from Kent, England and shares a London home with his popstar girlfriend.

The TV adaptation of Sally's Normal People was met with huge success in Ireland and overseas with stars such as Kourtney Kardashian expressing her love for the show.

The series, which sparked heated conversations for its sexually explicit scenes, launched stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones to international stardom.

Conversations With Friends will be directed by Irish filmmaker Lenny Abrahamson and produced by Element Pictures.

The best selling book on which the series is based was originally published in 2017.

Lead actor Alison Oliver graduated from Lir Academy in Dublin.
