Taylor Swift, Mac Miller And XXXTentacion: 5 Big Moves On This Week’s Billboard 200

Taylor Swift is in charge of the Billboard 200 once again with Folklore, which is quickly turning out to not only be one of the most successful albums of the year, but one of the longest-running chart-toppers in recent memory. The set rules over a fairly quiet ranking, as only a handful of titles debut, but there are quite a few efforts that celebrate reaching important milestones this frame.

Here are five albums that made big moves on the Billboard 200 chart this week.

No. 29 – Queen – Greatest Hits

Already one of the most successful rock bands of all time, Queen’s music continues to sell well to this day, even though fans are essentially just consuming older cuts that have been around for decades. The group’s Greatest Hits collection, one of many popular compilations of their most beloved tunes, is still going strong at No. 29 in this, its four-hundredth frame on the Billboard 200.

No. 42 – Taylor Swift – Lover

Taylor Swift rules the Billboard 200 this week for the fourth consecutive turn with her surprise release Folklore, and her previous chart-topper is also still present on the list, though it just recently fell outside the top 40 (again). The pop superstar’s Lover is down at No. 42 this turn as it celebrates its first full year on the chart.

Lover is Swift’s seventh title to spend at least 52 weeks on the tally, and it likely won’t be her last.

No. 88 – Lil Uzi Vert – Luv Is Rage 2

Lil Uzi Vert scored his first chart-topper on the Billboard 200 back in 2017 with Luv Is Rage 2, the follow-up to one of his earliest commercial mixtapes. The set established him as a powerhouse in the field, and fans have been enjoying the title ever since. This time around, the release makes it to 156 spins on the list, which is exactly three years.

No. 126 – Mac Miller – Swimming

As his early mixtape K.I.D.S. returns to the Billboard 200 at a new high point of No. 62, Mac Miller’s Swimming, the last album released during his lifetime, settles at No. 126. The title has now been present on the ranking for 104 weeks, or two years, and it’s not about to disappear anytime soon.

No. 127 – XXXTentacion – 17

Sadly, right below one late rapper comes another, as XXXTentacion’s 17 lands at No. 127 this frame. The set, which peaked in the runner-up rung on the Billboard 200 back in 2017, has been charting for 156 weeks, or three years. In that time, the title has racked up an incredible number of streams, and its popularity on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music is largely responsible for its continued success on the tally.
