One of the biggest storylines in the NFL this year has surrounded pop star Taylor Swift and her blossoming relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, Travis Kelce.
Swift has attended a number of his games this season, including last week in Green Bay when she watched Kelce and the Chiefs lose to the Packers at Lambeau Field.
TV cameras and announcers have not shied away from showing and talking about Swift when she’s at the games. While lots of fans have loved that, others have been a bit annoyed by it.
Swift addressed that topic with a great quote in a profile of her by Time magazine, which named her its Person of the Year:
“I’m just there to support Travis,” she said. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
She also added this about not knowing how often she’s shown during games:
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she said. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
Kelce and the Chiefs host the Bills this Sunday. If Swift is at Arrowhead, expect to see more of her throughout the game.
