Taylor Swift has filed to trademark Female Rage: The Musical as the European leg of her Eras Tour gets under way.
The pop sensation, 34, has included a new feature to her Eras Tour performance devoted to her album The Tortured Poets Department, which she has named Female Rage: The Musical. She used this line at her comeback performance at La Défense Arena in Paris, France, last week.
Days later, on May 11, Us Weekly reported that TAS Rights Management — which defends the Grammy winner's image rights — filed documents for the trademark.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker is reportedly contemplating using the slogan in merchandise.
What has Taylor Swift said about ‘Female Rage: The Musical’?
In an Instagram post she said: "This post is dedicated to the new 'Tortured Poets' section of the 'Eras Tour' (aka Female Rage The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical.
"To my crew, fellow performers, and band who worked tirelessly in their break to concoct this surprise for you — but mostly for the fans in Paris.
"I’m so thankful that it was you we got to show this to for the first time because you gave us so much excitement, passion, and love. I’m SO fired up to play this for every crowd on the tour. See you very soon, Stockholm!"
Swift added seven new songs to her repertoire and changed the order in which she played her various eras.
As well as the songs Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, Swift also performed But Daddy I Love Him and So High School together.
The Eras tour began in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023. Swift will play 152 stadium gigs worldwide until the tour ends in Vancouver, Canada, in December.
Her next gig takes place on May 17, where she will resume her tour at Stockholm's Friends Arena.
