Taylor Swift fans have spotted a romantic gesture Matty Healy made 9 years before the couple got together.
Although not officially confirmed, it seems as though things are hotting up on the romantic front for Taylor and The 1975 frontman.
Just mere weeks ago the blonde beauty, 33, was in a 6-year-long relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, with reports emerging soon after that she had started to date Manchester hunk Matty, 34.
With the pair said to be "madly in love" and them also spotted out and about together while holding hands, it seems that they have well and truly fallen for each other.
Fans of Matty and Taylor have now uncovered something that they believe proves that their romance goes back almost a decade.
Twitter users who are fans of the musicians have unearthed a video from nine years ago, where Matty appears to be crooning one of his love songs to the American singer.
Taking to the social media platform today (May 13), one fan posted a video clip of Matty on-stage in 2014 as he performed The 1975's fallingforyou.
As the rocker crooned the track, he could be seen glancing up to a balcony, with the camera spinning around towards the end to show Taylor on the balcony with some of her girl pals.
"Don't you see me I, I think I'm falling, I'm falling for you," Matty sung while reaching his hand up to what appears to be the balcony.
Sharing the video, the fan penned: "Matty dedicated fallingforyou to Taylor in 2014 this goes way back more than you think he’s had a huge crush on her."
Fellow fans went wild, with one person writing: "Boy was playing the longggg game…I respect it."
Another added: "YESSS !!!!!!!!!!"
While a third person penned: "And that song didn’t work, but About You did this time around," which refers to the rumours that The 1975's track About You is about Taylor.
Fans seem convinced that the song About You could be about the Anti-Hero singer, with rumours spiralling when Matty mouthed: "This one’s about you, you know who you are; I love you," before singing the track on-stage days before Taylor mouthed the same thing before singing her hit Cardigan.
Some of the lyrics from About You that fans have linked to Taylor are: "Do you think I have forgotten / About you? // You and I (don't let go) were alive (don't let go) / With nothing to do, I could lay and just look in your eyes / Wait (don't let go) and pretend (don't let go) / Hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end."
