Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at The 1975 concert in London last night. Swift shocked fans by performing ‘Anti-Hero’ from her new album ‘Midnights’ for the first time ever.
The singer, 33, joined the Manchester band on stage at the O2 Arena as part of their ‘At Their Very Best’ tour. Together they also performed The 1975’s 2013 song, ‘The City.’
However, Swift’s sneaky performance has left fans due to see The 1975 in concert next week pleading with the popstar to come to Manchester.
Taking to Twitter one user tweeted Taylor Swift saying: “hey bestie @taylorswift13 i’ll pay for your travel to manchester if u want to make another appearance next friday xx.”
Another account tweeted: “If this doesn’t happen on 20th January in Manchester I’m literally gonna sob.”
One person said: “Oh as if taylor swift has come out for the 1975 tour in london… why not Manchester pls”, while another account commented, “Screaming crying throwing up at the fact Manchester wont get Taylor Swift at the 1975 show… to everyone who went tonight HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE THE LORDS FAVOURITE.”
Addressing The 1975’s frontman Matty Healy, one user said: “matty healy bring out taylor swift next week in manchester i know you want to, you want to so bad.”
As well as their date at the AO Arena next week, they will also play a small and intimate gig at Gorilla on Whitworth Street on February 1. The show was announced by frontman Matty Healy in December, leading fans to bombard the small music venue with requests for tickets.
