Taylor Swift fan wears bizarre disguise to gig and shares hilarious reason for get-up

Taylor Swift 's fans are definitely dedicated. And this bizarre incident just proves it.

The 33-year-old megastar, who is set to break records and gross more than $1 billion from her global tour, took to the stage in Cincinnati on Friday night.

And for the occasion, one fan donned a very striking disguise – and the reason behind why she did is truly hilarious.

The mystery Swiftie donned a disguise while being interviewed for a live news programme because she wanted her identity to remain a secret to viewers at home.

So, to conceal her identity, the mystery Swiftie could (well, couldn't) be seen wearing a big pink fluffy blanket over her head.

The fan then added a pair of sunglasses, which made the look very reminiscent of Taylor's Anti-Hero music video that sees characters in the background donning similar attire.

Onlookers – and viewers at home – were totally baffled by the fan's disguise, with the Swiftie soon to address why she decided to don the ornate outfit.

The fan explained that she had called in sick at work in order to attend the Cincinnati stadium and to queue up for merchandise, hence her disguise.

The reporter from WKRC-TV Local 12 explained further in her report, with journalist Annie Brown saying: "There are two Swifties here who shall remain anonymous, who called in sick to work.

"They travelled here from Louisville, so they’ve gotten quite a drive here. They’ve been here since about 2.45 in the morning."

Annie then spoke to one of the fans and said: "Can you tell me what Taylor Swift means to you – she must mean a lot to you, because you’re here and you’ve called in sick."

"That is very true. I almost called my daughter’s middle name Taylor," replied the mystery Swiftie.

She then explained that she was taking an 11-year-old girl to her first ever Taylor gig, as well as wanting to purchase one specific merchandise item.

Viewers watching the news programme were in hysterics, with one branding the segment as the "most hilarious thing" they had ever witnessed on the news.

This comes after Taylor seemingly hinted at her next rerecord and when it might be released during her gig in Cincinnati.

One dedicated Eras Tour fan page took to Twitter and penned: " Taylor Swift seemingly teases 'reputation (Taylor’s Version)' in her speech before tonight’s first surprise song!

"I started my career 745 years ago… well actually 20… 17 years ago."

Taylor released her Reputation in 2017, with fans convinced that this means Taylor's Version of Reputation will come soon after Speak Now (Taylor's Version), which will come out next Friday on July 7.
