Taylor Swift has no intention of getting involved in Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, according to a new report.
Swift’s name has surfaced in Baldoni’s lawsuit, with the actor alleging she attempted to influence directorial decisions on behalf of her close friend, Lively.
The Bad Blood singer shares a well-known friendship with Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds—both of whom Baldoni is suing, along with The New York Times. The lawsuit stems from allegations made by Lively and reported by the publication regarding Baldoni’s behaviour on set.
Baldoni is seeking $250 million in damages from the NYT for alleged defamation and an additional $400 million from Lively and Reynolds, claiming their accusations have damaged his career and reputation.
Despite Swift’s name surfacing in Baldoni’s lawsuit, an insider told Entertainment Tonight the 35-year-old singer “doesn’t want to be brought up at all or involved in any drama, especially since this isn’t related to her.

“She wants to stay uninvolved."
The source adds that while Swift remains close with Lively, 37, she is focused on her own life, noting: “Taylor is still close with Blake, but she is focused on her own life and everything she has going on. She is in a great place and wants to keep moving forward.”
The comments come after Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, discussed the possibility of Swift being deposed while speaking with TMZ on their Two Angry Men podcast.
"I don't know that we're going to depose Taylor Swift or not," he said, adding, "I think that that's gonna be probably a game time decision."
He continued: “I don't know that that decision's been made. But, I can tell you this: anyone that reasonably has information that can provide evidence in this case is going to be deposed. I mean, for sure.”
The Standard has contacted Taylor Swift’s rep for comment.

Elsewhere, Lively has faced more upset amid her ongoing legal woes as Jed Wallace, of crisis PR firm Street Relations, Inc., has filed a $7 million defamation lawsuit against the star, alleging she has no evidence to support her claims that he "weaponised a digital army around the country from New York to Los Angeles to create, seed and promote content that appeared to be authentic on social media platforms and internet chat forums."
In response, Lively’s legal team issued a statement to the press, saying: “Another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit seeking to sue Ms Lively ‘into oblivion’ for speaking out against sexual harassment and retaliation.
“This is not just a publicity stunt—it is transparent retaliation in response to allegations contained within a sexual harassment and retaliation complaint that Ms. Lively filed with the California Civil Rights Department.”
