Taylor Swift and Matty Healy reportedly 'break up' after short-lived romance

Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have parted ways following a brief romance that came as a huge surprise to fans, it has been reported.

US singing superstar Taylor was first rumoured to be dating The 1975 frontman, who is the son of Denise Welch and Tim Healy, last month - weeks after 33-year-old Taylor broke up with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn. The pair were photographed together for the first time at the start of May, sending fans into a frenzy over their rumoured relationship.

Taylor and Matty, 34, have since been spotted out together in public a number of times during their whirlwind romance, and were last seen enjoying a dinner date on May 25, The Mirror reports. However, sources now say that the couple are no more.

According to TMZ, a friend close to the situation has stated that Taylor is "single" again. However, it is still unclear when exactly she split from Matty, with neither of the stars having ever officially confirmed the romance.

The pair of music icons were said to have first dated for a very brief period 10 years ago before things cooled off, but were apparently "madly in love" as of last month, according to The Sun. A source close to Taylor told the publication: "It's super-early days, but it feels right."

Earlier this year Taylor was a guest at The 1975's gig in London, joining Matty and his bandmates on stage to perform her worldwide hit Anti-Hero. Matty's famous mother, Loose Women star Denise Welch, was also at the show - sending fans wild after getting a picture with Taylor backstage and posting it on Instagram.
