Tasmania has reported 619 new COVID-19 cases, with the number of people in hospital increasing by one.
Forty-one people are in hospital, with 24 of those being treated for unrelated medical conditions, the state health department says.
Seventeen people are being treated, up from 16 reported on Sunday. Three are in intensive care.
The daily case figure, made up of 449 self-reported positive rapid antigen tests and 170 PCR-detected cases, is Tasmania's lowest since January 3 and continues a downward trend over the past six days.
There are 5563 documented active cases.
Tasmania has reported two deaths, one on Friday and one on Saturday, since the island state reopened to mainland hotspots on December 15.
Health Minister Jeremy Rockliff said the person whose death was reported on Saturday had a range of medical conditions and was extremely unwell when they were admitted to hospital on Thursday.
Tasmania has 15 listed deaths, with 13 occurring at the beginning of the pandemic.
State Health Commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks said the death of a 36-year-old woman in the northwest at the weekend has been referred to the coroner.
"While there has been speculation in the community that the woman died from COVID-19 complications, this has not been formally determined," she said.
"Given the circumstances surrounding her death, the matter has been referred to the coroner for determination."
