The number of new coronavirus cases in Tasmania has risen for a third day in a row, with the island state reporting 625 infections.
Thirteen people with COVID-19 are in hospital with eight of those being treated specifically for the virus, the state health department says.
Two cases are being cared for in intensive care, an increase from one on Tuesday.
There are 3116 documented active cases statewide, a marginal increase on 3033 from 24 hours earlier.
There were 513 new cases on Tuesday, 408 on Monday and 371 on Sunday.
Australia Defence Force personnel have been called on to help three aged care homes deal with coronavirus outbreaks.
Health Minister Jeremy Rockliff has said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution.
Two other aged care facilities in Tasmania are also managing outbreaks.
The state has recorded 23 virus deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, with 10 of those occurring since borders reopened in mid-December.
