Denis Law was honoured with a minute's applause at Hampden Park before Scotland vs Greece in the Nations League play-off.
The Scottish Football Hall of Fame inductee passed away aged 84 after a "tough battle" with Alzheimer's.
The Scotland and Manchester United legend, who won the Ballon d'Or for best footballer in 1964, was remembered with by those inside Hampden on Sunday.
A huge tifo display read "Lawman" with a minute's applause taking place before kick-off in the Nations League play-off second leg.
Sir Alex Ferguson then held aloft a Scotland shirt with Law on the back to applause from supporters.

A statement from the Law family in January read: “It is with a heavy heart that we tell you our father Denis Law has sadly passed away. He fought a tough battle but finally he is now at peace.
“We would like to thank everyone who contributed to his wellbeing and care, past and much more recently. “We know how much people supported and loved him and that love was always appreciated and made the difference. Thank you.”
A tribute from the Scotland National Team read: "A true great. We will not see his likes again.
