The Tartan Army could become the Tartan Navy if fans want to secure a berth for this year’s World Cup.
Last Friday’s draw potentially paired Steve Clarke’s men against the US, Iran and England in the football tournament in Qatar in November and December.
But Tartan Army fans need to wait for summer before they can confidently book flights and accommodation, as qualifiers still need to be won against Ukraine and Wales.
Fifa launched its accommodation website last month.
With many hotels full, fans could be forced to bunk up on two luxury liners docked at Doha’s Grand Terminal.
A balcony cabin on the MSC World Europa – with two single beds and a sofa bed – will set you back £1500 for a three-night stay on November 29.
Over on the MSC Poesia a three-night stay will cost £1815.
Should Scotland get through, three group stage tickets will cost £378. If they make it all the way to a final, tickets cost a staggering £764.
A second round of ticket sales opens up tomorrow.
Craig Brown, 81, the last Scotland manager to take the nation to the World Cup, at France 98, said: “These prices are extortionate.
"They might need to take on an extra job, but the Tartan Army will find a way of getting to Doha, I can assure you.”
