Target (TGT) -) isn’t even through its Target Circle Days yet and it is already planning its next big sale. Target is known as one of the top retailers for all things for the home, and with this next huge sale, it’s all about someplace else!
Target is running its Target Circle Days July 9 through July 15, and it cost nothing to take advantage of the savings during the sale. Target Circle is a free membership that shares great deals with Target’s loyal customer base.
Target Circle Days last year was referred to as Target Deal Days, and the sale was open to everyone, but this year the sale is only good for Target Circle members. Loyalty members will get some great deals, like up to 50% off Target brands like Sun Squad, Cat & Jack, and Good & Gather.
Target Deal Days came about to compete with Amazon’s Prime Day Sale, a sale exclusive to Amazon (AMZN) -) Prime members and then to Walmart+ Sale, available to Walmart+ members. In this summer’s retail rival sale, Walmart (WMT) -) is the only retailer who will open its great savings up to public without a membership of some kind, however the sale is available first to Walmart+ members, then to the public.
Target’s Next Big Sale
Back to school is just around the corner, as some schools will even start by the end of July. Target announced its deals for Back-to-School and Back-to-College, as well as savings for teachers in appreciation for all their dedication and hard work. The Back-to-School and Back-to-College savings will cover all the essentials and start at the end of Target Circle Days, on July 16 and will run until Aug. 26.
"Our back-to-school and back-to-college assortment features a broad range of essentials that are priced right for all families. From on-trend Cat & Jack outfits and fun and functional Room Essentials dorm décor, to supplies of all kinds from Mondo Llama and top national brands, Target has everything to help students from pre-K to college start the school year in affordable style," said Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Jill Sando.
Target recognized that inflation on everything in every industry is going to make it even harder for teachers to be able to get everything they need for their classrooms for the year.
"We're also pleased to expand our 20% teacher discount across the entire store and on Target.com, to provide teachers with even greater value on the items they need for their classrooms. Both teachers and students can count on Target for all their school-year gear at great prices,” said Sando.
The savings for teachers, isn’t just for teachers who teach K-12, it also includes homeschooling teachers, daycare or early childhood learning center teachers, university or college professors, and any vocational/trade/technical school with valid identification.
The 20% discount isn’t all. Target is offering a Tax-Free weekend of shopping to save even more at participating locations within states that have Sales Tax Holiday events, including Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.
