A tanker full of wet cement toppled over and smashed through a railing on a busy Scots road today. The railing on Inverurie Road in the Bucksburn area of Aberdeen was destroyed after the truck broke free and spilled its contents onto the road and pavement.
Cops attended the scene near the Propeller Roundabout following the incident which took place around 2.30pm Footage taken at the site, which was shared on social media, shows the overturned vehicle lying between two tractors which are parked stationary nearby.
At least two policemen can be seen surveying the damage alongside two workers in high vis jackets and some pedestrians who have presumably stopped to assist the clear-up, reports Aberdeen Live.
Traffic can be seen moving slowly past the commotion. The road was closed for for over an hour while recovery took place, sparking delays for some motorists. It has since reopened.
It is understood no one was injured in the event. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.35pm, police received a report of a trailer overturned on the Inverurie Road (Propellor Roundabout).
"The contents from the trailer spilled onto the road resulting in it being closed for over an hour. The trailer has been recovered."
